Use builders
Builders are rapid-entry tools that generate a starting system based on layout and supply inputs, saving you from typing every pipe and node manually.
When to use a builder
All Builders open an input window from the left sidebar. Enter the required data and select Build to generate the system. After building, run Run a calculation to verify the generated system.
Important
Building replaces existing data in the Data Input Tables.
Tree builder
Tree Builder is used to describe a tree layout, locate the remote area, and generate a starting pipe arrangement quickly. It can include piping to a single source before generating the tree.
Grid builder
Grid Builder is a preliminary grid development tool that uses layout, demand density, and supply input to estimate branch line and cross main sizing for a starting model.
System builder
System Builder is an alternative rapid-entry method for complex systems. It builds data by defining pipe segments, grouping branch lines, and placing cross mains to generate a complete starting system.
